42Lines is our Letterpress and book binding creative studio based in Canberra. We offer an array of antique printing and binding processes and we print both our own designs and projects for other creative people and studios.
Our creative approach means that we are constantly pushing the boundaries and limits for corporate and wedding stationery to custom handbound artbooks.
Why did we start
42Lines came about partly due to the retirement of a couple of the craftsmen that we, at QOTE, had the privilege to work with over the years. The potential loss of equipment was only exceeded by the loss of the knowledge and skills these craftsmen had gained. So in 2012 we started collecting old printing and binding machinery. The plan was to set up a small area in the shed and just have fun, but the collecting and work continued and space became an issue. In January 2017 we launched our new studio at Dairy Road.
How To Order
Send an email to greg@qote.com.au with your contact information and details of your job. Please include quantity, dimensions, number of colours (including any blind impression), paper stock and weight, finishing and deadline required.
A quote will then be provided and artwork can be supplied or custom designed.
Once the artwork is confirmed a 50% deposit is required prior to printing.
When the job is complete the remainder of the payment is to be made prior to delivery or collection.
